Emma's Vintage Paris
2000 to 2003
Emmas Secret Garden
1995 to 1997
This is the inside view of my store in Claremont. It was filled with vintage treasures. Sometimes when I would arrive to open the store I would find nose and hand prints on the glass door. My customers shared with me that they just had to take a long look in the store and were very sorry about the prints on the door. That was a great compliment to me.

From a very early age I have always been drawn to the softer side of being a woman. I've always been interested in making jewelry and how it's various styles and forms have changed over the years.
I was fortunate enough to go to England in 1993 and could hardly wait to return home and open a Tea Room. I was already in love with the English Tradition of "Tea Time", but enjoying "Tea Time" in England took it to another level. My dream came true in August of 1994 when I opened Emma's Secret Garden in Ontario California. The local newspaper wrote an article about my store, it was back then in 1994 that I shared my dream of someday starting a Tea Society.
In 1995 I took my second journey across the Atlantic Ocean, with this trip I developed a deeper appreciation for Vintage Cameos and Venetian glass beads. I moved my store to Claremont California and stayed there for two years.
In 2000 I opened Emma's Vintage Paris in Upland, California; I missed my old Tea Room and decided to serve complimentary Teas and desserts while my customer's purchases were being wrapped. I met many ladies that enjoyed not only my love of tea, but also the love of vintage clothing, jewelry, hats and all things Parisian. It was at this time that I started The Purple Hat Society Ladies Tea Group. In todays hurried life of most women, it's hard to find time to indulge oneself in a relaxed no rush enviorment, where women can gather together and learn from one another and of course enjoy a cup of tea.
My love of Vintage Clothing and Jewelry
I have collected vintage clothing for years and host 2 different fashion shows

This Show consists of 10 outfits, one for each decade. During the show I explain how world events influenced the clothing, hats and shoes. These two outfits represent the Edwardian Era and the 1940s. Music is also played for each decade.
During the Bridal Fashion Show you will see 10 gowns from 1890 to 1990 & hear the music for each decade. I explain how world events influenced Dress Designs and share about jewelry, shoes and cake toppers. Why we call it the Honey moon and the origin of the wedding cake.
